Bolton Award for teaching excellence


Richard Elder, Ph.D, has been awarded the 2015-16 Bolton Award for Teaching Excellence.  The Bolton Award was established in 1989. It is presented annually to the faculty member who best exemplifies he university's commitment to teaching, service, and professional development.

Faculty Honored with Endowed Professorships

14 Faculty were awarded Endowed Professorships at the Annual Employee Recognition Dinner, March 17th, 2016. 
Endowed Professors receive a salary stipend as well as additional funds for professional development or travel activities.They are usually awarded for a two-year term.These professorshipswere established through private donations to the LSUA Foundation and matched through the Board of Regents Support Fund to establish a $100,000 professorship endowment.

Cormier Named "Boss of the Year"



Dr. Catherine Cormier
, Chair of the Department of Nursing, was awarded the Staff Senate’s Boss of the Year at the annual Employee Recognition Dinner, March 17th. This award goes to an LSUA faculty or staff member who is nominated by their direct reports and is awarded to those who exhibit outstanding supervisory skills. Congratulations Dr. Cormier!




Faculty Receive honors at Annual Employee Recognition Dinner

LSUA held it's annual Employee Recognition Dinner on March 17th to celebrate faculty and staff. In addition to Endowed Professorships, and the Bolton Award for Teaching Excellence, faculty were honored in Boss of the Year, Teaching Innovation, and Service Learning.
